Arizona Won Super Bowl 2015

by TrailBoss

The numbers are starting to come in.  The economic impact on Arizona during the Super Bowl and the week’s lead up has been very positive.  Hosting both the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl 2015, Glendale Arizona stands to benefit economically from these events.  The city of Phoenix and Scottsdale also capitalized on the visitors with the Phoenix Convention Center hosting the NFL Experience and Scottsdale hosting the WM Phoenix Open.  The Phoenix Open drew record crowds with over 500,000 attendees.

Hotels were full, restaurants were packed and Metro light rail ridership Saturday was 126,000, more than double its previous highest ridership day, according to the city. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport also set a record Monday.

All the number won’t be in until March but it looks like a revenue record for the State of Arizona.  All the events went smoothly and the weather participated through most of the events.
